2024 didn’t bring any development to me and this website, so it’s time for some soul-searching.
I don’t know where to start with 2024. Looking back at the year, it’s safe to say that it was possibly the most boring year of my life. I know it sounds somewhat unorthodox, but it’s hard for me to tell if there’s any significant moment I achieved or experienced.
I didn’t even manage to return to TARUMT’s Youth Festival 2024 event. I managed to attend the 2023 edition with my Pokemon Trainer Red cosplay, but 2024? No, I’m not even close to stepping in. I could say that the only ACG-centric activity I did in 2024 was a FamilyMart lunch for Pokemon CNY Ang Pow. Forget cosplay photoshoots or meetings, there wasn’t one.
It’s the same story with this website. I was excited about restarting a new life in WordPress. I even created the Monthly Bulletin article to keep this website and myself pumped. Sadly, 2024 didn’t bring any motivation, let alone excitement. It felt like I was slowly becoming a NEET guy who always locked himself in the room glued to the monitor display.
My 14-day “Umrah” family trip in late November made me realise I should stop thinking about people. Don’t think of it wrong since it’s not about me being selfish. It’s about rebuilding my life for the passion I have and created in the first place. I realised I needed to be on my own feet to start building the life I have always wanted. A nine-figure billionaire life is far from the picture and not even pinged in my mind. As long as I have a decent life and can keep on fulfilling my life passion, I couldn’t ask for more.
Let’s see what 2025 brings us. We can never predict the future, but we can always start creating the positive future we always envisioned. To all of you reading this piece, I wish you a Happy New Year and a toast for a prosperous well-being in 2025 and beyond.
